WELCOME TO CROSSFIT SOUTHSIDE...NOW LET’S GET MOVING!!!

CrossFit, at it’s core, is about good movement and intensity.  This means using your body the way it was designed to move in nature.  We do not use machines for the simple fact that their are few machines out there in the real world.  Instead, there are challenges and obstacles that require skill, mobility and strength (among other things).  As coaches at CrossFit Southside, our job is to help you workout safely and with intensity.  This means teaching the mechanics, helping you develop consistency, and then allowing you to build intensity by performing these movements at speed or with resistance.  Mastering the basics may not sound sexy, but the truth is that you CAN’T GET REALLY INTENSE WITHOUT GOOD TECHNIQUE.  It’s just physics!  Not to mention, a little technique will go a long way to developing a safe long-term practice.


Consider us “The Technique People”...anyone can write a workout, but our coaches are experts at walking you through the nuts and bolts, answering your questions, and applying coaching that is tailored to YOUR body and it’s movement. 

Here’s how to start...


THE ON-RAMP SERIES

Because our Group Classes require some new skills and a basic understanding of movement (who thought there was so much to learn about a squat?!?!), we’ve developed a 9 class series geared to take anyone off of the street and introduce them to functional movements.  Whether you are a college gymnast or a world record holder in the “couch-potato” division, you’ll learn a ton in the ON-RAMP SERIES.


By the end of the 9 classes, you will have covered the basics of the Squats, Presses, Pullups, Olympic lifts, and basic gymnastics...as well as some extra stuff.  While this is not an exhaustive list, by combining these movements together and in different sequences you will have a solid foundation to build your CrossFit practice on.


Time in the ON-RAMP SERIES is split between learning the mechanics of the movements and actually working out.  The last portion of each class is left for a CrossFit WOD (“Workout of the Day”).  These are geared for new CrossFitters, and can be scaled to match anyone’s fitness level.  Afterwards, we take questions and send you off with a little easy homework.


The ON-RAMP SERIES usually runs three days a week for three weeks. 6:30pm is the usual time for the classes, but that time is negotiable can sometimes be flexible.  Some weeks we change it to accommodate the group.  The cost is $160 for the series, and you can secure your spot in the series by contacting us by phone or email.  Once you have wrapped up the series, you will be ready to join our Group Classes.  At that point you can either start a membership, or pay per class for a while to see if it is right for you!

1. MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP

This allows you to attend any classes on the schedule for the calendar month.  It also includes access to Nutrition Coaching, Supplemental Gymnastics, and Supplemental Olympic Lifting.  There are no annual contracts to deal with, so if your life changes you maintain your flexibility.


When you join as a member, you will pay the following rate for as long as you are able to train with us.  If you choose to cancel or suspend your membership, you will lose your original rate and will be charged the current rate from that point forward.


    Monthly Membership - $160

    LEO/MIL/FIRE (Active) - $130

2. PAY PER CLASS

Maybe you’re still not sure about things, and you want to try out a couple times in the Group environment.  No problem!  This option also works great for our athletes that travel frequently, or have erratic schedules.  Classes may be paid for in cash prior to the class.  Also, not a bad gift for someone who is looking to give CrossFit a try for a few weeks before diving in.


    Drop-in Rate - $20/class


3. PERSONAL ON-RAMP

Maybe you’re in a rush, or cannot make it to the regularly scheduled On-Ramp Series.  You can also pay to work one on one with a coach to get you ready for Group Classes.  If you have a small group, the price per person drops for each additional person (up to 4 people).  Great way to get a small group of friends rolling with CrossFit at your own pace.


    1 Session - $40/person

    2 People - $30/person

    3 People - $25/person

    4 People - $20/person

Once you’ve completed the On-Ramp Series, you may be invited to either join Group Classes or continue with Personal Training.  Personal training is available by appointment only.  Group class options are right below...
